James T. Miller is currently Manager of the Controlled Substances section with the Houston Forensic Science Center in Houston, Texas. He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and a Master of Chemistry from Rice University in Houston. Mr. Miller has over 25 years of experience in forensics with primary emphasis in the controlled substances and trace disciplines. He is certified as a fellow by the American Board of Criminalistics and is a member of the Southwestern Association of Forensic Scientists as well as the Clandestine Laboratory Investigating Chemists Association. Mr. Miller has given presentations to civic, law enforcement, prosecutorial, and criminal defense audiences and is a guest lecturer at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
